China’s Environmental Watchdog Plans to Simplify Procedures to Help Private Sector

China’s top environment regulator has proposed updating its rules and procedures to make it easier for private companies to do business in the country.
In a document released Sunday, the Ministry of Ecology and Environment (MEE) outlined a number of policies aimed at “promoting the development of the private economy.” They included measures to enhance environmental access for businesses, optimize law enforcement mechanisms and expand related policy support.
