Shenzhen introduced a series of measures starting in 2016 aiming to blunt skyrocketing housing prices and speculation

Shenzhen, one of China’s most expensive megacities, took another step to bolster the housing market by rolling back some of the nation’s strictest limits on home purchases that were in place for years to curb speculation.

Although no formal document was published, Shenzhen relaxed homebuying eligibility criteria, affecting some nonresidents and divorcees, several people familiar with the matter said.
