Gallery: First Supermoon of 2021 Shines Across the Globe

The first of the two supermoons of 2021, also known as ‘Pink Moon,’ lit up skylines across the world on Monday at 11:32 p.m. EDT, creating a special sight for viewers as the moon’s orbit was about 8% closer to Earth than its usual orbit. The second supermoon will appear on May 26, according to NASA
