China’s top legislative body has terminated the review of a draft amendment to the Administrative Procedure Law, state media reported, ending revision efforts, which some said may have made it more difficult for citizens to sue the government.

The decision was announced during a chairpersons meeting of the National People’s Congress Standing Committee (NPCSC) on Monday, according to Xinhua News Agency, eight months after the draft was submitted for initial review in December 2022.
